Six shifts already reshaping HR

New technology won’t replace HR, but if HR doesn’t evolve it will quietly be slipping out of relevance. This is the reality which many leaders are slowly waking up to. How does the new HR organization look like? What changes are coming, and what changes are already here? And, will the HR department still exist in a few years' time?

Join our breakfast seminar live in Stockholm (or sign up for the digital webinar here) where we have invited Jan Laurijssen, HR Evangelist and researcher at SD Worx and Magnus Eklöv, Business Solution Manager at SD Worx Sweden to discuss six shift already reshaping HR. Moderated by Charlotte, senior HR consultant at FEM HR, Jan and Magnus will share their thoughts on how HR teams can meet their employees’ needs today and, in the future.

You will get to know more about the six shifts already reshaping HR:

  1. Personalised instead of standardised: The same development paths or rewards to everyone is no longer enough.
  2. Fluid talent instead of fixed roles: Job descriptions are becoming less central. Instead, organisations are matching people to projects based on skill data and availability.
  3. Outcome-led instead of process-focused: Employees think not in rigid workflows, but in dynamic moments — joining, progressing, changing direction, going through personal transitions.
  4. Transformational instead of transactional: As automation is being embraced, HR is shifting focus to coaching, performance design and cultural stewardship.
  5. Integrated intelligence instead of separate systems: HR leaders are working toward unified platforms that integrate everything from engagement data and performance metrics to workforce planning signals in one view.
  6. Specialists instead of generalists: As the work of HR becomes more diverse, so does the skills required. It’s all about building the right expertise for what comes next.
